my IIMC interview

venue : 13 march 2009 monarch luxor hotel 2 pm

GD: 10 min to discuss + 1 min to summarize

topic: Do India need 100 IIM's

my gd as usual was pathetic

interview

P1 tell us about yourself
ans told

P1 What are the recent books that u have read
ans told the monk who sold his ferrari and 1984

P1 author of the monk who sold his ferrari
ans told

P1 author of 1984
ans told

P3 he said the monk who sold his ferrari was a sham and asked my opinion on it
ans told , but should have done lot better as this was an open ended question.

P2 Questions about my job
done, didn't made any impression here

P3 I think you would fail in quant
note: saying that i was confused and puzzled would be understatement as quants is
my strength va is my weakness and it was amply evident from my Cat scores
and groupd discussions

I only managed that i won't fail :tounge

I realised later it was my chance to hit the ball across the park

P3 He is saying he won't fail because its question of failing in IIM C
ans I again stupidly reiterated my last statement even after the hint :(

P3 said he has got 3 C' and only one A in his grad in math's subjects
P2 gave me a question
which i solved partially

then I was asked to leave

later i realised pi itself carried 45% of weightage in fianl score, had i known
earlier i might have thought differently

well but things happen
