IPL< – >Cricket formats

The third season of ipl has started. Its bigger than first two ipls. IPL format has proved to be hit in the last two seasons. Even when there were serious concerns when IPL was shifted last year to South Africa. IPL proved its worldwide popularity by filling the stadiums even there. I personally am not so much a cricket purist who sees ipl as destructing test cricket. Nandan Nilekini Talk at Indore

I today went to attend Nandan Nilekini guest talk organized by Dainik Bhaskar in the city of Indore. Nandan Nilekini is presenting leading the initiative of providing unique identification number to each citizen of the country. He said purpose of UID project is to provide unique identification number to each citizen of India. There are 2 major challenges for this project right now. Second is that they have to make sure that once one has been alloted identification number it should be possible to establish the identity of person through cloud from central data warehouse. This is going to be biggest database project implemented in the world. Currently the biggest database is of FBI which has identity of around 100 -150 million persons. And that databse does not supports online authentication. While Indian UID database once completed will have identitty of around 1000 million persons and it will support onli...

Every person in the country is busy analyzing how this budget is going to affect his life. Students in B-School are busy analyzing how this is going to affect their placements. We in fact had a session where students of the batch discussed which sectors are going to play a prominent role in their placements next year. Other than us, stock brokers are busy analyzing impact on stock markets, salaried middle class is busy analyzing his tax out go and so on. Ofcourse there are some who don't give a damn about how this budget is going to affect them. Budget has become instead of being a forum for introducing policy changes and presenting accounts of the governement has become forum for presenting political manifesto of the government. No other decision by government generates as much excitment as the budget. Though some experts question if the budget is even necessary. ...
