Beginning

This was the day of reckoning. He did not expect that transition into his new life would be so easy. He had long waited for the opportunity. Now when the opportunity presented himself, he grabbed it with both hands. He had dreaded in the past how his new life would turn out to be. Whether there will be people better than him. Whether he will able to reach the goal that he long wanted to reach. But when he entered the place. The opportunity presented to him. It was so simple. He did not understand why there was no more competition for it. There were only 8 people in the fray. But it did not matter whether 8 or 80 he would have decimated them all. Now only a small task was left. It was just a formality. Half an hour later results would be announced. One second passed, two second passed, he cannot bear it any longer. He decided to go to the Oracle. Oracle has never been wrong. It was the most revered creature in the new place. It was a giant squid. You could ask anything to him but there was only one restriction. Question should have only 2 answers either yes or no. Only problem was that privilege of asking question was restricted to members in the upper echelon. But this was a matter of just half an hour. He will be eligible. But once he decides on something he gets it. He started on the ardous journey to oracle. It was in bottom of very deep chamber. And the only way to access it was a long winding and creepy staircase. It was supposed to be guarded but tonight everyone was preparing for results. He reached the oracle. He was terrified with its size. He asked the following question “ Will i win?” . The squid answered yes by raising its trunk 90 degrees to the right. If the answer was no it would have raised his trunk 90 degree to the left.

Now he came back. Soon the results will be announced. He reached the auditorium. Soon the result will be announced. Soon he will be on pathway to glory. The old guard came on stage to read the result. Now its time. But then what water started pouring down from the terrace. Elder were throwing water over all those in the fray. His hopes were watered down, his ambition went away in the drain. But he was boiling with rage. He was going to take revenge upon them. No body noticed his tears drenched in water. But he will make them shed tears of blood. Only he was befuddled how the great oracle can be wrong.
