Theory of Selection
I was just wondering about problem of forming groups. I tried to compare it to recruitment and selection policy of companies and things started to unravel for me. First let me define the problem that i was thinking of how do we form a groups for a particular course or say competition like Mahindra war room. First one clarification objective of forming groups is maximizing the output of the group not minimizing the amount of input required for one individual. The best way to form a group is of course is among your friends, who share the same interests as you. That way one member of the group can always understand the other is facing in doing work and can step up to fill up the need. But what if you are embarking on new goal or venture and need to form a group for that. Where the work required from the group is huge but the work is rewarded only when you produce the best work.
