Good vs Bad

The fight between good and evil has been main story line of numerous films. The superiority of good over evil is the basic tenets of all the religions of the world. Yet almost no-one believes in this. Everyone i have met, believes that evil is better than good. But why is this so. Its because everyday and every moment where we see, we find that people who use bad methods do succeed. Its the corrupt politicians who rule us. Every child sees that without giving bribe no work gets done in the country.

The results of good work are hard to come by but when they do come they are always more than results of bad work. Bad work gives immediate gains. This disillusions people into believing that bad wins over good, because also it is hard to see the results of good work. There is one other reason there is lack of belief in good work. Let's me illustrate with a simple example :

There are 3 students who are attempting a very tough exam say upsc. Student A believes in good work but is laid back. He works hard and goes daily to temple to pray for a good result. Student B does not believe in good work. He does not studies but concentrates all his effort on cracking the exam through cheating. Then there is student C who believes in good work and is very proactive. He asks the correct question from the right people. He studies hard and also studies the right things.

The result Student B and C make through the exam. The good student does not make through the exam why. Its not because he is good but because he did not take his destiny in his own hands. Student B achieves success not because he is bad but because he is proactive. He took risk and acted cleverly. Thats why he succeeded. But what will happen in college. What will happen in job. One day his trick will be caught. While the student C will always keep going on forward.
