Anna Hazare

Who is Anna Hazare? A crazy so called Gandhian activist? Who is fighting to remove corruption? Corruption it is omnious, it cannot be eradicated? What advantage he is getting by doing his fast? How does he earns his livelihood ? He is funded by BJP ?

I read Anna Hazare autobiography here http://www.annahazare.org/biography.html.  Anna Hazare is a crazy social activist.  He got Padamshree in 1990 and Padam Bhushan in 1992. He was in army for 15 years and has become crazy. He goes on working for people cause. It is not first time he is fasting for people cause. In fact he has a tendency to go on indefinite fast to force his demands before the government. He believes that after he will die people will remember him. No people just protest because it is a fashion to fight against corruption. People will post on facebook just to get a few likes. Corruption is omni present, every one is corrupt how can he remove corruption.

These are some of the questions and thoughts which come to my mind and which i encounter while discussing with other people. I thought about it. I still believe that Anna Hazare is crazy. But he is only as crazy as the rest of billion of Indians are normal. What he is to get by fighting against corruption ? He is  74 years old. He has already done more than his share of good for the society. If i were him i will just relax and wonder i cannot have done any better in life. I would wonder why does people behave the way they do. But he does not think so. He is still fighting for it. When at best he might only die because people are corrupt. But why does i see lakhs of people protesting against government. Why am i yet to see a rally of people supporting corruption. I don't know. Maybe it means still there is a hope. There is still a chance that people will understand that corruption can be removed. There is still a chance that people will understand that no one gains from corruption. And Anna Hazare may be our last chance. This is the year of revolutions. And it is the moment for people of India to stand up and be counted in world history.
