Godmother and our politicians

I was thinking about Italian Mafia and our politicians. If anyone wants to understand how our politicians work he has to understand how Italian Mafia worked. The Boss always gave verbal order to his subordinates. In this way never was a crime was traced to him. When pressure of law enforcement agencies on  Mafia increased in 80' s and 90's then real boss used to operate behind a proxy. Proxy was on paper the boss but all decisions were taken by the real one.

Similarly our current Indian Political system is operating. The real boss is operating behind a proxy. Like Mafia he distributes areas of operations among his cabinet ministers. Verbal order is given to the proxy who in turn tells his cabinet ministers. If ever a crime is exposed like 2G scam no one can convict the real boss or even his proxy who hides behind his karma and dharma. There is a rival mafia also i.e. BJP but who is dependent for its existence on Congress. 

But sadly unlike the movie the whole of country's administrative system is in hands of Mafia. Even the press is not free. I am sick of seeing a news article a day on the greatness of Yuvraj. I though believe that he is much better than most of other politicians. But it is getting on my nerve seeing how shamelessly the paid media is preparing for him for the post of boss. 

You may argue that we are a democracy. Don't most of us go to vote every general election. But you ever wondered how much of it is futile. Just because people put their stamp of choice in every general election does not make it a democracy. People have been given choice but they are not given information to make the correct choice. People support Mafia in their areas also infact several gangsters get elected to elections in India.
