IIT Jodhpur Rocks

IIT Jodhpur had been given the responsibility of procurement of Aakash tablet for sale by government at subsidized price to students. Agreements had been signed with Datawind, the manufacturer of the tablet. All the marketing of the product has been done. But now IIT Jodhpur has come up with additional product testing criteria for the tablet. They want tablet to be water proof to the extent where it can withstand rain at no less than 4 inches per hour. None of the commercial computers can survive a water spill, let alone a rain. How can government expect a 35 dollar tablet to withstand rainfall at the rate of 4 inches per hour. And addition of this condition after signing of contract agreements simply reeks of corruption. It is reflective of our corrupt and inefficient system. Our bureaucrats can create obstacles in the name of public interest where none was possible. I wonder what does government want to sell to students, a computer tablet or an umbrella....

Truth and Lies

There is no difference between truth and lie. You may be telling the truth but people can always take it to be lie, because most of the time the opinions or things which you believe to be true turn out to be wrong. So there is no difference between well planned lie and truth and well planned truth and lie. People chose to believe it to be true or not based on their self interests and biases. Because everyone is very protective of his beliefs and their own and self interests and find it difficult to believe anything which is contrary to their beliefs or self interest.
