Power of truth

All of us read in our history books that a saint named Mahatma Gandhi got our independence from Britishers. He used non violent means of protests. But i always wondered what is non violent means of protests. You do hunger fasts, dharnas, refuse to wear foreigner clothes, leave your jobs and don't take your salary. In other words since you are suffering so you take on more suffering. And if above all are not enough you should be also prepared to go to jail and face police brutality. But you can not strike back at the system. What is this, why would have Britishers left because of this. Indeed India gained independence after the second world war. At that time several countries gained independence from Britishers, since England was too weak to govern its large empire after second world war. So it does not seem to me that Gandhi's method had any significant impact on date of our independence. When i read history books than it seemed to me that his methods rather worked to delay a m...

Anna Hazare

Who is Anna Hazare? A crazy so called Gandhian activist? Who is fighting to remove corruption? Corruption it is omnious, it cannot be eradicated? What advantage he is getting by doing his fast? How does he earns his livelihood ? He is funded by BJP ? I read Anna Hazare autobiography here http://www.annahazare.org/biography.html.  Anna Hazare is a crazy social activist.  He got Padamshree in 1990 and Padam Bhushan in 1992. He was in army for 15 years and has become crazy. He goes on working for people cause. It is not first time he is fasting for people cause. In fact he has a tendency to go on indefinite fast to force his demands before the government. He believes that after he will die people will remember him. No people just protest because it is a fashion to fight against corruption. People will post on facebook just to get a few likes. Corruption is omni present, every one is corrupt how can he remove corruption. These are some of the questions and thoughts which come to...

Naxal problem

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime This is a very well known proverb but Indian government does not seems to know it. India spends 14 per cent of its GDP on giving subsidies. Yet 40 per cent of India's geographical region is in grips of Naxal problem. According to India intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing, 20000 armed naxal cadre's are operating in the country besides 50000 regular cadres. And they are concentrated in area known as Red Corridor where they control 92000 square kilometers. And if you look at the area shown in map which depicts red corridor. These are the areas that suffer from greatest illiteracy and poverty. So seriously something is wrong government is spending so much money to help the poor. Still the same people are up in arms trying to throw the same government. It is simply because the policies that government adopts cannot change a person life. Take for example Mahatama Gandhi Nati...
