I watched inception yesterday. I loved the movie. But contrary to popular opinion, i don't think inception is better than other of Nolan works like prestige and Dark Knight. Nolan made inception purely for commercial application. He has reduced the depth of ideas usually present in his manuscript so that more and more people are able to understand his ideas. And inception borrows heavily from movies like matrix. But people confuse the idea in inception with the ideas in movie like matrix, existenz and 13th floor. Inception is based on a very novel idea which is simply power of ideas. Though nolan borrows application of dreams and subconscios mind from matrix. Dreams are not the main idea of movie. The main idea is value of dreams. Everything that has been created in the world started in the mind of someone as an idea. And in real world it is very valuable to know what are the ideas of a person. People tend to disguise their beliefs behind layers of deviant behaviors. And just li...

I watched these 2 movies today. Seems like watching prestige yesterday triggered interest in movies in me. And certainly i don't regret watching these movies. Especially Sherlock Holmes was awesome. Ironman 2 was low on material but high on style. Whereas Sherlock Holmes was high on both. The most special thing about Sherlock Holmes was Rachel Adams. She was so beautiful in the movie. In fact i just realized she was the girl in the movie notebook. She has completely changed from that movie. Of course mostly because notebook came 6 years ago. For me she completely stole the show from Robert Downey Junior, the Ironman. You may be wondering i watched 2 movies of Robert. But this is more due to the fact Robert Downing Junior got to play 2 fantastic super hero roles.

I watch movies very infrequently. But inspired by recent viral buzz of christopher nolan movie inception, i watched his movie Prestige for the sixth time. And though it is a thriller whose high point is the amazing twist at the end, still i felt only more amazed by the movie. In whole movie at repeated interval very simple two ideas are repeated: (1)Everything in the world is common sense. There is no magic in the world. People still are unable to grasp simple common sense not because it is complicated but because they want to be fooled. They want to be amazed. (2)If you have a secret don't tell anyone. Secret impresses no-one. Its the magic trick that is important. The amazing twist at the end is not a twist at all in real terms at end. What is explicitly revealed at the end is repeated in the movie atleast 5-10 movies in dialog. But we refuse to believe that. Today i dreamed of finding about finding a diamond worth 150 crores. The diamond i dreamed was big diamond with cutting edges and heart shape. And how do i found it. I just found it when going to class in my way. Yeah just weird like dreams can be. Then i am with my parents and brother and sister. We are in a kind of some guesthouse. As i have mentioned before i keep reading lot of inspirational books. Almost every book talks of doing what you desire. But how do you know what you desire. There are lot of great things to be done in the world. Every one will love go around the world in 80 days. Everyone likes fame. Everyone likes power. Everyone likes money. But what is that we want. Its our dreams, which tell us what we really want. You can neither do everything nor can get everything. But its our dreams on which we must act and leave no stone unturned in the world to achieve our desires.

I have always wanted to be one of the greatest person on earth. I know its completely stupid. But i am always reading biographies of all the prominent persons in history. For example i am right now reading autobiography of Benjamin Franklin. Its the best auto biography ever written. And its available free at project guntenberg site. But i am prepared to be content with whatever i get. I am very deeply affected by this principle of Bhagwada Gita that We should not worried with results of work, we should work as we do worship. And we should perform our duty without worrying about who will get affected by our work. For example: In Gita, Krishna instructs to perform his duty and fight against his respected elders like Bhishma. Quite simply, Gita is the best treatise ever written about the importance of work.

I am reading the book on neuro linguisitic programming by Steve Andreas and Charles Faulkner. One of the methods in neuro linguisitic programming to get motivation for doing a thing is associating the end result of work with something that you want. We do this thing sub- consciously many times in our life. But when time comes to use it, we ignore it. This same thing was depicted in a very popular movie Kung Fu Panda. We all hate our politicians. And why should we not detest them. They do never work for interest of the people. Once they get power all they care about hoarding money. They lack political will to take decisions in the best interest of the nation. They come and go and they never change again. They incite hatred on ethnic and communal lines. I have been wondering in recent times on concept of society and religion. What is society. What is need of society. Why societies were formed. How religion were formed. What was their purpose. Man was a hunter. He used to hunt animals and feed on them. He soon realized that when he hunts in group he can bring down animals much bigger than him. So first groups were formed. Not like a proper society with proper rules and regulation. But man used to clash for food and woman. There were clashes, betrayals. Then society was formed to control persons in the society. I have really struggling with meaning of life. 2-3 years ago i thought i understood everything and also nothing. My method was to attribute to lack of understanding to understanding of nothin. I used to find scapegoat for my failures. But in the last one year and half, i have done some serious introspection. I have tried to write what i have learnt as a prose Why do we worry, when it shall pass Why do we judge, when it shall change Why do we study, when we shall forget Why do we fail to act, when no one remembers failures Why do we ridicule, what we like Why do we live in the past, when the past is over Why do we try to live in future, when future is yet to come and so on on.

Yesterday was the final of world cup football between Netherlands and Spain. As it happens, Paul the octopus again proved himself to be correct. But in all this hype about a octopus predicting result of this grand finale, we forget there were 100's of million people predicting the result of the game. And unlike the great Paul, they were not only predicting, but they were also emotionally attached with the game. As it happens the result of the game made 100 of millions of people happy and may be more number of people sad. And there is a cost to sadness. Why do we watch movies, spending money from their own pockets. Because they wanted to happy. I was thinking how much we apply what we learn. I thought we should apply following things from following subjects: 1) Maths: We should learn how to think in an unbiased manner. The biggest learning from maths should not be learn to crunch numbers. But to crunch real life situation using numbers. And we should learn not to judge what we cannot possibly judge. Too often we are guilty of judging people and situations and making wrong decisions. We should learn how to assign numbers from real life happenings. And make decision on the basis of the numbers. 2) Engineering : We should learn to do things in different manners. We should learn to break down to task in a life in small concrete steps. And find optimum way of doing those tasks. 3) Management : Management is all about initiative and self confidence. In addition we should learn how to generate alternatives. After analyzing all my past failures and successes i have come to the conclusion that all the virtues and hardwork can get you to only gamepoint or match point of life. Like tennis its how you perform at bigger points that matters in life.

I have been the most ardent fan of Roger Federer. I still remember how i started following tennis.
